Baseball Recap: Glades Central Comes Up Short

Glades Central lost against Atlantic Christian back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Raiders lost 25-8 to the Sharks. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Christopher Leon made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole five bases while going 2-for-2. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Osmany Rodriguez, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Glades Central's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Atlantic Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glades Central will face off against Atlantic at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Atlantic Christian, they will welcome Glades Day at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
