Softball Recap: Cooper Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cooper can now relate to. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Amarillo Sandies on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sandies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on Friday.

This is the second loss in a row for Cooper and nudges their season record down to 15-14. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Amarillo, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-8-1.

Cooper has already played their next match (against Amarillo), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. The Sandies does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
