Baseball Recap: Tabernacle Christian Takes a Loss

Tabernacle Christian managed to slip by Fayetteville Street Christian the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Tabernacle Christian lost 11-5 to Fayetteville Street Christian on Monday. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Tabernacle Christian saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gage Carpenter, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3. Carpenter is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Another was Camden Lindsay, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Tabernacle Christian dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Fayetteville Street Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Coincidentally, Tabernacle Christian and Fayetteville Street Christian will both be playing Woodland Baptist Christian the next time they take the field. Fayetteville Street Christian will host Woodland Baptist Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Tabernacle Christian will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
