Basketball Game Preview: Eldorado Golden Eagles vs. La Cueva Bears

Eldorado hasn't had much luck against La Cueva recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Eldorado Golden Eagles will face off against the La Cueva Bears at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Wednesday, Eldorado didn't have quite enough to beat Manzano and fell 53-50.

Meanwhile, La Cueva faced Sandia in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The match between La Cueva and Sandia didn't end well, with La Cueva falling 57-39. The Bears have struggled against the Matadors recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Eldorado's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for La Cueva, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.

Eldorado skirted past La Cueva 62-59 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eldorado since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
