Smithville came tearing into Wednesday's match with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Excelsior Springs Tigers as they made off with a 10-3 win. Considering the Warriors have won 11 games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Smithville's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-3. As for Excelsior Springs, they moved to 18-10 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Coming up, Smithville will be playing at home against Winnetonka at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Excelsior Springs, they are taking a road trip to challenge Belton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
