Softball Game Preview: O'Fallon Panthers vs. Columbia Eagles

O'Fallon hasn't had much luck against Columbia recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Panthers will challenge the Eagles at 8:00 a.m.

O'Fallon is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 15 runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Belleville East on Thursday. They lost 10-1 to the Lancers.

Bella Schmitt was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, Columbia had just enough and edged out Calhoun 3-1 on Friday.

O'Fallon's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Columbia, their win bumped their record up to 18-3.

O'Fallon skirted past Columbia 9-7 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
