Softball Preview: Albany Cougars vs. Mt. Diablo Red Devils        
        
		
            
 The Albany Cougars will head out on the road to  take on  the Mt. Diablo Red Devils at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday.
 Albany lost  12-5 to Salesian College Preparatory last Thursday. Albany has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Mackenzie Marion was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 3-for-4 with a  home run and three  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jasmine Araica, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Mt. Diablo had to endure  a  three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with  an   8-4  victory over Campolindo  on Thursday.
  Lily Quezada was a major factor no matter where she played. She  tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   four  hits. Quezada was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with a  stolen base, a  double,  and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Dazzelynn Alon was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with three  runs, a  triple,  and  an  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Ashley Cornejo, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.
 Albany's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Mt. Diablo, their win bumped their record up to 6-11-1.
