Basketball Game Preview: Flagstaff Eagles vs. Lee Williams Volunteers

Flagstaff and Lee Williams are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Flagstaff Eagles will be playing at home against the Lee Williams Volunteers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Flagstaff and five for Lee Williams.

Last Saturday, Flagstaff came up short against Coconino and fell 51-44. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 10-5 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Lee Williams also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Bradshaw Mountain by a score of 61-49.

Flagstaff will have to contain James Coffman as he made an impact in Lee Williams' last game. He went 7 for 17 en route to 20 points. Another player making a difference was Karter McLenna, who posted seven points.

Lee Williams' defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Flagstaff, they now have a losing record at 10-11.

Flagstaff was taken down by Lee Williams 59-28 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Flagstaff was down 34-11.
