After a string of four wins, The Meadows School's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Virgin Valley Bulldogs by a score of 3-2. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

The Meadows School came incredibly close to winning: the sets they lost were decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 26-24, 18-25, 25-23, 15-13.

Despite the loss, The Meadows School saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Adyson Watkins had 13 digs and three aces. Watkins has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

The Meadows School's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 19-6. As for Virgin Valley, they pushed their record up to 19-10 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

The Meadows School has already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Pahrump Valley on the 16th. As for Virgin Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Democracy Prep Agassi Campus on the 16th.
