Soccer Recap: Salt Lake Academy Comes Up Short

Salt Lake Academy and Riverton squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Salt Lake Academy had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Silverwolves by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Riverton this season, with their most recent loss being a 4-1 defeat back in April.

Salt Lake Academy's goal came courtesy of Angelo Dennet, who's now up to four this season.

Salt Lake Academy moved to 9-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Riverton, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-4.

Salt Lake Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Riverton, they will square off against Lone Peak at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lone Peak's last five contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
