Game recap: Canby High School Football Team takes down West Linn

CANBY, Ore. - Austin Taylor ran for two touchdowns and Noah Kyllo added three as well as Canby (Ore.) defeated West Linn (Ore.) 35-14 on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Taylor in the second quarter, the Cougars led 21-7 at the half.

Canby expanded its lead to 21 points entering the fourth quarter. CHS scored once in the quarter on a touchdown run by Taylor.

The Cougars came in allowing an average of 28.9 points per game this season.

When the two teams played each other last season, Canby came away with a 38-7 victory.



The victory was a step in the right direction for CHS, which was coming off a 28-14 defeat at the hands of Lakeridge in its previous game. The loss was the third in a row for the Lions. The victory ended Canby's two-game losing streak.

Canby (4-4) goes up against Clackamas in a 6A Three Rivers game matchup next week, while West Linn (3-5) locks horns with Lakeridge also in a 6A Three Rivers game.
