Vanguard College Prep came into Saturday's contest looking for another win against Waterford, but Izaiah Sanchez wouldn't allow it. The Wildcats blew past the Lions 86-58 on Saturday with plenty of help from Sanchez, who shot 67% from the field to rack up 21 points along with seven assists and seven boards. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 47.1% shooting accuracy.
Jacob Branan was another key player, going 5-for-10 en route to 12 points and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last seven games he's played.

Waterford's win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Vanguard College Prep, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-4.
Waterford has already played their next matchup, a 70-30 loss against West on the 16th. As for Vanguard College Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-51 victory against Lodi Academy on the 16th.
