Football Recap: Norte Vista Skates Past Rancho Christian with Ease

The Norte Vista Braves took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 45-7 win over the Rancho Christian Eagles. The Braves pushed the score to 40-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles had no chance of recovering from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Norte Vista to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jyden Henderson, who rushed for 83 yards and one touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 100 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven passes. Henderson got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 62 yards. King Butler was another key pass catcher, picking up 67 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Norte Vista's run defense was locked in: Rancho Christian could only muster 2.1 yards per carry. The team can thank Fabian Ruvalcaba for the heroic effort on defense: he. Norte Vista didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged ten.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Norte Vista, adding 13 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Ryan Henderson, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
