Softball Recap: Zimmerman Takes a Loss

Zimmerman lost against Chisago Lakes Area two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Thunder lost 10-2 to the Wildcats. The Thunder's defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Zimmerman saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madilyn Tucker, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double. That double was Tucker's first of the season.

Zimmerman's record now sits at 1-6. As for Chisago Lakes Area, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Zimmerman is set to face off against their familiar foe Cambridge-Isanti at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Chisago Lakes Area will square off against rival St. Francis at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 3.1, the Fighting Saints 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
