Football Recap: Middle College Takes Down Humboldt in a Playoff Battle

Middle College had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Humboldt Vikings 42-8 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won eight matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Middle College's ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.7 points over those games. As for Humboldt, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-6 record.

Coming up, Middle College will take on Eagleville on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Bulldogs 8.3, the Eagles 14.3) so any points scored will be well earned. Humboldt does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
