Football Game Preview: Cayuga Wildcats vs. Carlisle Indians + How To Watch

For the first time this season, Cayuga will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. After each having a week off, they and the Carlisle Indians will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Cayuga's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Friday. They claimed a resounding 56-0 win over Inspired Vision. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Cayuga's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kase Dickson, who threw for 129 yards and three TDs on only 12 passes. That's the most passing touchdowns Dickson has posted since back in September of 2024. Caiden Lightfoot was in the mix too, providing Cayuga with one score.

Meanwhile, Carlisle scored the most points they've had this season last Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 38-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Shelbyville. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Dragons recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Cayuga will have to contain Ivan Garza as he made an impact in Carlisle's last game. He rushed for 122 yards and five touchdowns, and also picked up 66 receiving yards. Garza didn't just play on offense: he also forced one fumble and made ten total tackles (2.0 for loss). Joseph Mejia also helped out as he racked up 123 rushing yards.

Carlisle now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Cayuga, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Cayuga skirted past Carlisle 44-41 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
