Baseball Game Preview: Oak Grove Grizzlies vs. Mount Tabor Spartans

The Oak Grove Grizzlies will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Mount Tabor Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Oak Grove is headed into the game having just suffered their closest defeat since April 18, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of West Stokes by a score of 4-2. The Grizzlies haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Carson Everhart put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off seven hits (and only one walk). James Price was cooking despite his team's loss, going 4-for-5 with four stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. David Thiel was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Four bases. while going 2-for-3.

Mount Tabor's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Oak Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
