Softball Recap: Chandler Comes Up Short

Chandler was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Arizona College Prep Knights. If the Wolves were looking for revenge after losing 13-4 to the Knights when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lily Kolsrud made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Cian Noli, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Chandler's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Arizona College Prep, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Coming up, Chandler will take on Desert Ridge in a tournament on Saturday. Chandler's pitchers better be ready for this one: Desert Ridge has averaged an impressive 12.8 runs per game this season. As for Arizona College Prep, they have already played their next game, a 13-1 victory against Mountain View on the 21st.
