Baseball Recap: Southside Comes Up Short

After flying high against Highland Baptist Christian last Monday, Southside came back down to earth. The Southside Sharks fell just short of the Notre Dame Pioneers by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Sharks in their meetings with the Pioneers: they've now lost three in a row.

Southside's loss dropped their record down to 9-4-1. As for Notre Dame, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-5.

Southside has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Covington on the 7th. As for Notre Dame, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 13-0 loss against Sam Houston on the 7th.
