Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sexton). They came out on top against the Lakewood Vikings by a score of 41-34 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Big Reds also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Sexton is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.0 points over those games. As for Lakewood, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Sexton is set to face off against their familiar foe Ionia at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lakewood will take on rival Lansing Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
