Volleyball Recap: Grantsville Comes Up Short

Grantsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Roy Royals.

Despite the defeat, Grantsville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Luiza Lupiao had 23 digs and two aces. Those 23 digs set a new season-high mark for Lupiao.

Grantsville's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Roy, they moved to 12-13 with that win, which also ended their five-match losing streak.

Grantsville has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Skyline on the 11th. As for Roy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Wasatch on the 11th.
