Kaliyah McCary made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just one earned (and seven unearned) runs off 12 hits. McCary was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one RBI.
In other batting news, Sadie Primm and Harmony Arnold did most of the damage at the plate: Primm scored a run while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances, while Arnold went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. What's more, Primm posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was McKenna Manning, who scored three runs and stole a base.
Billingsley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 5-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Autauga Academy had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Saturday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Red Devils.
Madison Johnson was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Teonna Davis was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Billingsley has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.2 hits per game. However, it's not like Autauga Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.7 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
