Basketball Game Preview: Norfolk Panthers vs. Lincoln Northeast Rockets

Norfolk is 2-8 against Lincoln Northeast since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Norfolk Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Lincoln Northeast Rockets at 7:30 p.m. Norfolk will be strutting in after a victory while Lincoln Northeast will be coming in after a loss.

Norfolk is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Fremont 65-36. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Bo Caskey went supernova for Norfolk, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Caskey a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Skylar Indra, who posted 11 points.

Norfolk was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Lincoln Northeast lost to Lincoln High on the road by a 47-32 margin on Friday.

Norfolk's victory bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Lincoln Northeast, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-8.

Norfolk couldn't quite finish off Lincoln Northeast in their previous meeting two weeks ago and fell 42-40. Can Norfolk avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
