Live Oak faced Dutchtown in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Eagles fell just short of the Griffins by a score of 8-6. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Taylor MaTTingly made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI.

Live Oak's loss dropped their record down to 18-12. As for Dutchtown, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 17-9.
