Volleyball Recap: Saint Andrew's Wins Going Away Against Oxbridge Academy

Saint Andrew won the last time they faced Oxbridge Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Scots blew past the ThunderWolves 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Scots.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-15, 25-21.

Madelynn Ortlieb was nothing short of spectacular: she had eight aces and seven digs. Those eight aces gave her a new career-high. Kiersten Rodholm was another key player, getting three digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good server: Saint Andrew's was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 23 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Saint Andrew's record now sits at 2-0. As for Oxbridge Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Saint Andrew's has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Cardinal Newman on the 27th. As for Oxbridge Academy, they will square off against Jupiter Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The game will give the ThunderWolves their first taste of in-conference action this season.
