Having just played yesterday, the Walnut Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Belmont Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Walnut knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Belmont likes a good challenge.
Walnut is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were dealt a 96-65 defeat at the hands of Wheeler on Monday. The Wildcats have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Belmont, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. Everything went their way against Potts Camp on Saturday as Belmont made off with a 69-44 victory. That 25 point margin sets a new team best for Belmont this season.
Walnut's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Belmont, they moved to 3-15 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
Walnut came up short against Belmont in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 74-70.
