 Metro Tech fell victim to Fairfax and their airtight pitching crew  on Monday. They wound up on the wrong side of a  tough 7-0 walloping at the hands of the Fairfax Stampede. The shutout was out of character for Metro Tech seeing as the last time the team failed to score was  back in March.
 For Fairfax's part,  Daniel Alaniz was a major factor no matter where he played. He  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only two  hits while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. Alaniz has been consistent recently: he hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Alaniz was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with a  double and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Vincent Quadrozzi, who  scored two  runs while going 4-for-4.
 Metro Tech's loss  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 7-12. As for Fairfax, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five games,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record  this season.
 Metro Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Fairfax also has no future games currently scheduled.
