It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact University can now relate to. They fell just short of the Eaton Reds by a score of 6-5 on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to University of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Saturday.

Connor Weber was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and a double.

On Eaton's side, they got a great performance from Gunnar Garrison as he didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit over five innings pitched. Garrison has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Liam Whalen, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and a triple.

University's defeat dropped their record down to 24-6. As for Eaton, the win for them keeps them at an undefeated 28-0.
