Basketball Recap: Aldine Extends Winning Streak to Four

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Aldine had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against Cypress Ranch by a score of 56-48. Winning may never get old, but Aldine sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Aldine had a senior duo take command as Joshua Green went 6-for-9 on his way to 18 points and Jorge Castro went 7-for-12 en route to 16 points and seven boards. The contest was Green's third in a row with at least 15 points. Kaleb Green was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Aldine's victory bumped their record up to 25-13. As for Cypress Ranch, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-13.

Looking ahead, Aldine will challenge Rockwall at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rockwall knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Aldine likes a good challenge. Cypress Ranch does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
