Soccer Recap: Bakersfield Christian Takes a Loss

After soaring to five goals the game before, Bakersfield Christian was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bakersfield Drillers. One reason for the loss might be the Eagles' aggressive play style: William David Underwood and Dominic Icardo were both handed yellow cards.

Bakersfield Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13-2 record this season. As for Bakersfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-8-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Bakersfield Christian duke it out with the Independence at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bakersfield Christian is facing Independence at the right time seeing as Independence is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Bakersfield, they will square off against Ridgeview at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ridgeview will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Bakersfield surely won't give up without a fight.
