Softball Game Preview: Edward Little Red Eddies vs. Brewer Witches

The Edward Little Red Eddies are taking a road trip to take on the Brewer Witches at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Edward Little is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Edward Little's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Cony 10-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Eddies.

The team relied heavily on Kassidy Lobb, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple was her first of the season. Allison Michaud was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs.

Meanwhile, Brewer suffered their closest loss since May 24, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of Hermon by a score of 7-5. The Witches have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Emma Jameson was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Brewer's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Edward Little, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.

Edward Little couldn't quite finish off Brewer in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 and fell 3-1. Can the Red Eddies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
