Baseball Recap: Franklin Comes Up Short

Franklin was the 10-7 winner over Dayton Christian when they last played one another on May 8th, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the WARRIORS on Saturday.

David Rebrovich made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Austin Hurst, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Franklin's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-17. As for Dayton Christian, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.

Looking ahead, Franklin will head out to challenge Kenton Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 1.3 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Dayton Christian, they will challenge Greeneview at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The WARRIORS' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 9.6 runs per game this season.
