Recap: Institute of Tech Eagles vs. Chittenango Bears
The Institute of Tech Eagles pushed their score all the way to 76 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 83-76 to Chittenango. Institute of Tech has struggled against Chittenango recently, as their contest on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Ryan Moesch continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Chittenango, scoring 42 points along with eight assists and four steals. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which Moesch has scored at least a third of Chittenango's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brendon Barnard, who scored 20 points along with two steals.
Institute of Tech has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season. As for Chittenango, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Institute of Tech will challenge Homer at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Homer will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 500th, while Institute of Tech is ranked 171st). As for Chittenango, they will head out on the road to square off against Westhill at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westhill has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 283 points over their last four matchups.
