Basketball Game Preview: Valley Christian Eagles vs. David Anderson Blue Devils

Valley Christian and David Anderson are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2019, but not for long. The Valley Christian Eagles will take on the David Anderson Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley Christian will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Valley Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Everything went their way against East Palestine on Saturday as Valley Christian made off with a 74-50 win. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, David Anderson unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They lost to Columbiana at home by a 57-43 margin. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 581st, while the Clippers are ranked 241st).

Valley Christian's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for David Anderson, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Things could have been worse for Valley Christian, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 51-37 loss to David Anderson in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Valley Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
