Softball Recap: Grand Junction Central Warriors vs. Palisade Bulldogs

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grand Junction Central). They blew past the Palisade Bulldogs 17-3 on Monday. Considering the Warriors have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Sophie Aragon tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, Grand Junction Central got a massive performance out of Emma Diaz, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrie Hanson, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.
