Football Recap: Columbus Academy Gets Big Win over Higher-Ranked Dover

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Heath, Columbus Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They snuck past the Dover Crimson Tornadoes with a 40-34 victory. The win was all the more spectacular given the Vikings' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 308th, while the Crimson Tornadoes are ranked 111th).

The victory got Columbus Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Dover, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Columbus Academy will host Worthington Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dover, they will venture away from home to face off against Ashland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Arrows' defense has only allowed 11.2 points per game this season, so the Crimson Tornadoes' offense will have their work cut out for them.
