Maloney waltzed into their match on Wednesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Newington Nor'easters. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on May 7th.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-21, 21-25, 25-19.

Wesley Colebrook paced Maloney's offense, picking up 33 kills. Colebrook got some help from Galo Cadena and his 45 assists. Colebrook was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

Newington's loss came despite strong showings from Adam Redman and Austin Miller. Redman had 13 digs and two assists, while Miller had four digs. With that strong performance, Redman is now averaging an impressive 10 digs per game.

Maloney's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-1. As for Newington, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 17-5 record.

As of now, neither Maloney nor the Nor'easters have any future games scheduled.
