Basketball Recap: Howell Central Comes Up Short

Howell Central lost against Lutheran South back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The match between the Howell Central Spartans and the Lutheran South Lancers didn't end well, with the Howell Central Spartans falling 54-36. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Howell Central's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Lutheran South, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Howell Central and Lutheran South should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. Howell Central will face off against Howell North at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 176 places (62 vs. 238). Meanwhile, Lutheran South (ranked 99th) will meet Rockwood Summit (ranked 223rd) at 6:00 p.m. on February 11th.
