Basketball Recap: Southampton Academy Raiders vs. Kenston Forest Kavaliers
Southampton Academy lost against Kenston Forest back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Southampton Academy Raiders took a 67-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kenston Forest Kavaliers. That's two games in a row now that the Raiders have lost by exactly nine points.

G Applewhite and E Webb certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Applewhite dropped a double-double with 23 points and 17 boards, while Webb posted 18 points. Those 18 points gave Webb a new career-high. A Darden was another key player, putting up seven points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kenston Forest to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dayton Williams, who almost dropped a double-double with 27 points and nine rebounds. Williams' evening made it 20 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Davis Lynn also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.
This is the second loss in a row for Southampton Academy and nudges their season record down to 8-12. As for Kenston Forest, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-7.
Southampton Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 71-44 victory against Isle of Wight Academy on the 13th. Kenston Forest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
