Prospect Ridge Academy extended their home winning streak to nine games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Genevieve Forsman. The Miners came out on top against the St. Mary's Academy Wildcats by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday for which the team can thank Forsman, who had 15 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 15 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

While Prospect Ridge Academy might've won, it sure wasn't easy: St. Mary's Academy scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 24-26, 25-21, 25-20.

Prospect Ridge Academy's victory bumped their record up to 12-1. As for St. Mary's Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Prospect Ridge Academy will challenge rival The Academy at 6:00 p.m. on the 9th. Meanwhile, St. Mary's Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Jefferson Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
