Recap: Seymour Eagles vs. Heritage Mountaineers
The Seymour Eagles lost against the Heritage Mountaineers back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Seymour was dealt a 75-44 defeat at the hands of Heritage. Seymour has not had much luck with Heritage recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the loss, Seymour still got an impressive performance from Cameron Soulages, who scored 21 points. Soulages hasn't dropped below 15 points for 11 straight games. Another player making a difference was David Canterbury, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Seymour has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-22 record this season. As for Heritage, they pushed their record up to 15-12 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Seymour will head out on the road to challenge Cocke County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Cocke County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 33 on Friday. Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
