Baseball Recap: Schenevus Central Gets the Win

Schenevus Central got themselves on the board against Schoharie on Thursday, but Schoharie never followed suit. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Indians 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Dragons also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2025.

Allen Osborne made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Osborne was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tim Green, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, one triple, and one RBI.

The victory got Schenevus Central back to even at 2-2. As for Schoharie, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Schenevus Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 18-3 win against Worcester on the 21st. As for Schoharie, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 5-4 defeat against Fonda-Fultonville on the 20th.
