Hoover has gone 7-1 against Roosevelt recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Hoover will head out on the road to face off against Roosevelt at 5:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Hoover and five for Roosevelt.

Last Thursday, Hoover came up short against Madera and fell 3-1.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Madera scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-17, 23-25, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Roosevelt suffered their biggest defeat since February 18th on Thursday. They came up short against McLane, falling 3-0.

Roosevelt was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21, 25-21.

Hoover's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Roosevelt, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.

Hoover took their win against Roosevelt when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hoover since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
