Baseball Recap: Williamson Comes Up Short

Williamson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 10-5 to the Newark Reds.

Mikey Ishler made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Charlie Bobowski also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Williamson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Newark, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Williamson will head out to take on Sodus at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Marauders' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Newark, they will head out on the road to challenge Geneva at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
