Soccer Game Preview: Hamilton vs. Gilbert

The Hamilton Huskies will face off against the Gilbert Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Hamilton is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Sunnyside, who was ranked second at the time (Hamilton was ranked tenth). Hamilton fell just short of Sunnyside by a score of 3-2 last Monday. The Huskies' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Gilbert won against Westwood two weeks ago with four goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Wednesday. Gilbert walked away with a 4-2 victory over Mountain View. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Gilbert now has a winning record of 5-4-2. As for Hamilton, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.

Everything went Hamilton's way against Gilbert in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as Hamilton made off with a 3-0 win. Does Hamilton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Gilbert turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
