Football Recap: Lebanon Wins Going Away Against Kickapoo

Lebanon won the last time they faced Kickapoo and things went their way on Friday too. The Yellowjackets put the hurt on the Chiefs with a sharp 36-10 win. Given the Yellowjackets' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Chiefs are ranked 106th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Beckett York was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 139 yards and one TD while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, and also threw for 113 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight passes. What's more, he posted two passing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brayden Christian, who rushed for 115 yards and one score.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Lebanon's defense and their four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.

Lebanon has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25 points. As for Kickapoo, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

Coming up, Lebanon will face off against Glendale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Yellowjackets will be up against the Falcons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.86 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Kickapoo, they will welcome Waynesville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Chiefs will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54.57 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
