Football Game Preview: Stevenson Spartans vs. Franklin Patriots + How To Watch

Stevenson hasn't had much luck against Franklin recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Spartans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Patriots at 7:00 p.m.

Stevenson's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Fordson on Friday. They were outmatched by the Tractors and fell 35-0. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 237th, while the Tractors are ranked 87th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Franklin). They really took it to Wayne Memorial for the full four quarters, racking up a 42-13 victory. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Patriots had established a 28-point advantage.

Stevenson better keep an eye on Daylen Neal. He was instrumental in Franklin's win, rushing for 143 yards and one score on only 11 carries, while also catching one touchdown. Those 143 rushing yards gave Neal a new career-high.

Franklin's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Stevenson, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Stevenson and Franklin were almost perfectly matched up in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, but Stevenson suffered an agonizing 28-27 defeat.
