Recap: Beth Haven Bearcats vs. Christian Educational Consortium Cougars
The Beth Haven Bearcats stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. Everything went their way against Christian Educational Consortium as Beth Haven made off with a 83-59 win. Given Beth Haven's advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while Christian Educational Consortium is ranked 216th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Levi Langley, who scored 26 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of DaMontez Malone, who scored 15 points.
When it comes to explaining why Christian Educational Consortium lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nathan Johnson. Despite the final result, he scored 21 points. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Deven Moore was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Beth Haven has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Christian Educational Consortium, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beth Haven will take on Atherton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Christian Educational Consortium won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Ballard at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Ballard has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,027 points over their last 14 games.
