Muir won against New Roads  last Wednesday with 13  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Saturday. Muir beat the Wilson Wildcats by the very same score they won with in their prior game:  13-3. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by six  runs or more this season.
 Miguel Castillo tossed a big game,   tossing five innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   four  hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks any time he's  pitched this season.
 On the hitting side, Muir got a  massive  performance out of  Kahlil Rishwain, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. What's more,  Rishwain posted two  RBI, the most he's  had since back in March of 2024.  Tyler Law was another key player,  going a perfect 1-for-1 with three  RBI, one  triple,  and one  run.
 Muir  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  struck out at most four  strikeouts in three consecutive  contests.
The  victory was their first  on the road , bumping their record up to 9-3. As for Wilson,  with the  loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2.
 Coming up, Muir will take on Burroughs at 3:45  p.m.  on Tuesday. Burroughs' pitching crew has only allowed 1.8  runs per game  this season, so Muir's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Wilson, they will challenge Los Altos at 3:00  p.m.  on Monday.
