Recap: Weld Central Rebels vs. Strasburg Indians
The Weld Central Rebels were the 63-51 winner over the Strasburg Indians when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Weld Central received a tough blow on Tuesday as they fell 71-53 to Strasburg.
Briley Cale and Tyler Branch certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Cale scored 15 points, while Branch scored 17 points. Jace Cornelius was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Strasburg's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tyce Bollers, who scored 21 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Landen Martin, who scored 7 points along with 13 assists and 3 steals.
Weld Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Strasburg, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Weld Central will take on Timnath at 6:30 p.m. on December 8th. As for Strasburg, they will be playing at home against Cedaredge at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
